Most people come to therapy because they're carrying something that feels too difficult to face alone. Whatever you're navigating, we can share the load, explore your experiences together, and work towards the goals that matter most to you. You can bring your whole self whatever the issue.

Louise

Profile

Introduction

Louise is a COSRT-accredited psychosexual and relationship therapist, a BICA-accredited fertility counsellor, and an EMDR UK-registered practitioner. Alongside her professional qualifications, she brings lived experience of neurodiversity and has undertaken specialist training to support individuals and couples navigating the impact of neurodiversity on relationships, intimacy, and sexual wellbeing. She also has extensive experience working with the trauma that can arise from living in a world that is not always designed for neurodivergent people.

Philosophy

Louise believes that, in one way or another, we are all survivors of life's deepest and darkest challenges and that we each carry personal experiences that deserve to be met with compassion, understanding, and love. Louise's therapeutic approach is shaped by a unique blend of evidence-based clinical expertise and her own lived experience. She believes that therapy should offer more than insight-it should provide practical tools and lasting skills that become part of your everyday life. Together, we will develop strategies that support a transition from surviving to thriving, enabling you to build a life that feels more authentic, fulfilling, and aligned with your values. Rather than simply helping you cope with life's challenges, Louise aims to empower you to reconnect with your strengths, deepen your self-understanding, and create meaningful, lasting change.

What it feels like to work with Louise

Louise creates a safe, nurturing space where you can feel seen, heard, and accepted exactly as you are. She supports you in becoming more deeply embodied, helping you gently process emotional pain until it begins to transform into greater clarity, resilience, and self-understanding. She brings a compassionate, grounded, and maternal presence to every session, intuitively attuning to the unique therapeutic relationship she builds with each client. With extensive clinical experience across a wide range of presenting issues, Louise remains calm, curious, and non-judgemental, creating an environment where even the most difficult experiences can be explored safely. Drawing on her background in science alongside her therapeutic training, Louise integrates evidence-based practice with an appreciation for spirituality, energy awareness, and the mind-body connection. Her holistic approach honours the whole person, supporting healing on emotional, psychological, physical, and spiritual levels.

Approach

Louise places the therapeutic relationship at the heart of her work. She believes that healing begins when you feel safe enough to be your authentic self, knowing you can speak openly and honestly without fear of judgement. She regularly checks in with you about your experience of therapy, reflecting on previous sessions and ensuring that the pace feels right for you. Therapy is tailored to your individual needs, with careful attention to helping you remain grounded and able to navigate your daily life while engaging in deeper therapeutic work. Drawing on trauma-informed approaches, Louise works with experiences that continue to be seen, felt, remembered, or held emotionally within the body and mind. She will always honour your pace, your readiness, and your goals for therapy, never pushing you beyond what feels safe or manageable. Where appropriate, Louise integrates practical exercises, psychoeducation, and evidence-based therapeutic skills into your sessions, encouraging you to develop tools that you can continue to use in your everyday life. She listens deeply to your story, bearing witness to your experiences with compassion and care, and supports you in moving towards greater resilience, self-understanding, and lasting emotional wellbeing.
