Lisa

Profile

Introduction

Lisa is a Psychosexual and Relationship Therapist, EMDR Trauma Therapist, Yoga Therapist, Counsellor and Intensive Behaviour Support / Special Needs Educator. She lives and works globally and identifies as Queer and Sex Positive. Lisa is also a GSRD Therapist (Gender, Sexual, Relationship Diversity).

Philosophy

As a specialist in each of her modalities, she utilizes her extensive knowledge of the mind-body while straddling worlds of clinical practice and eastern traditions. This insight gives depth to understanding presentations, and clarity of knowing how to help clients.

Approach

She can hold and meet you where you are at, emotionally and mentally, in that moment. It might look like talking and listening, learning about new concepts, or engaging in experiential and creative activities both in and outside of the sessions.

There may also be somatic movement of the body while noticing the effects. Lisa has created many of her own resources that she frequently and freely shares with clients. Clients often continue to use the resources when therapy has ended as they have found them to be greatly beneficial.

What it feels like to work with Lisa

It is important to Lisa that clients come to understand why they are having problems, and become skilled so they may have agency in their own lives. Clients understand why the therapy intervention choices have been chosen in attending to their therapy goals.

Clients feel heard and understood. They feel supported, yet challenged just enough at times so they may grow. Lisa is with you all the way on your journey.
